Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
• You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• You agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy
• If you use the Platform on behalf of a company or other entity, you have authority to bind that entity

2. About the Platform

Hubsek is an online marketplace that connects customers seeking home and lifestyle services with independent service professionals (“Pros”).

Services may include cleaning, maintenance, salon and spa at home, AC care, pest control, handyman work, and other household or on-demand tasks made available on the Platform from time to time.

Hubsek does not itself perform the underlying service jobs unless expressly stated. Pros are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or joint venturers of Hubsek, except where required by law.

Hubsek may help facilitate discovery, booking, messaging, payments, and support, but the service contract for the job is generally between the customer and the Pro.

3. Eligibility & accounts

To use certain features you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information (such as name, phone number, and email).

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (including OTP codes sent to your device) and for all activity under your account.

Notify us promptly at support@hubsek.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that appear fraudulent, abusive, incomplete, inactive, or in violation of these Terms.

You may only maintain one personal customer account unless we approve otherwise in writing.

4. Customer bookings

When you request a booking, you authorize Hubsek to share relevant details (service type, schedule, address, notes, and contact information as needed) with Pros so they can fulfill the job.

All bookings are subject to Pro availability and confirmation. Displayed prices, duration estimates, and travel times are indicative; the final amount may depend on duration, add-ons, location, promotions, and the Pro’s rates, as shown before you confirm.

You agree to:

• Be present (or arrange access) at the service location at the scheduled time
• Provide a safe working environment and accurate address/access instructions
• Disclose material risks or special requirements before the job starts
• Treat Pros respectfully and not request illegal or unsafe work

5. Payments, fees & refunds

Payment methods and cash-on-completion options (where offered) are described in the app at checkout. Platform fees, service charges, tips, or taxes may apply as disclosed before confirmation.

Unless required by law or stated in a specific promotion:

• Payments for completed work are generally non-refundable
• If a Pro cancels, fails to appear, or the service is materially incomplete, contact support promptly so we can help rearrange or, where appropriate, issue a credit or refund according to our then-current policy
• Chargebacks filed without first contacting Hubsek may result in account restrictions
• You are responsible for reviewing the final amount before confirming a booking

6. Cancellations & rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule according to the timelines shown in the booking flow or booking details.

Late cancellations or no-shows may incur fees or forfeiture of prepaid amounts.

Pros may also cancel for safety, access, availability, or force-majeure reasons; in those cases we will attempt to help you find an alternative Pro.

Repeated last-minute cancellations by either party may lead to warnings, fees, or account action.

7. Professional (Pro) terms

If you register or apply as a Pro, you represent that you have the skills, licenses, insurance, and legal right to offer the services you list in the UAE (or other market where you operate).

You agree to:

• Keep your profile, rates, service list, and availability accurate
• Perform work diligently, professionally, and safely
• Treat customers and property with respect
• Comply with all applicable labor, tax, immigration, licensing, and local laws
• Not solicit customers off-platform to avoid Platform fees where prohibited
• Complete any required verification (ID, selfie, background checks, or similar)

8. Pro verification & marketplace standards

Verification may be required and does not guarantee work quality, ongoing approval, or a minimum volume of jobs.

Hubsek may approve, reject, suspend, or remove Pros at its discretion for quality, safety, fraud, inactivity, policy violations, or legal risk.

Pros are solely responsible for tools, materials (unless otherwise agreed), insurance, and tax obligations related to their work.

9. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Misuse the Platform or attempt to bypass security or fees
• Harass, threaten, defraud, or discriminate against others
• Post false reviews, fake listings, or misleading content
• Scrape, reverse engineer, copy, or interfere with the Platform
• Use another person’s account or share OTP codes
• Upload malware or harmful code
• Use the Platform for illegal, unsafe, or unauthorized purposes

10. Reviews & user content

You may leave ratings and reviews after eligible bookings. Content you submit must be honest, relevant, and lawful.

You grant Hubsek a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with the Platform and marketing.

We may moderate, refuse, or remove reviews or content that appear abusive, fake, defamatory, or off-topic.

11. Messaging & communications

In-app chat and notifications are provided to coordinate bookings. You agree not to use messaging for spam, harassment, or off-platform payment schemes that violate these Terms.

You consent to receive transactional communications (OTP, booking updates, security alerts) by SMS, push, email, or in-app notice. Marketing messages are sent only with consent or as allowed by law and can be opted out of.

12. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its branding, design, software, logos, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Hubsek or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal or legitimate business use in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

13. Third-party services

The Platform may integrate maps, payments, messaging, analytics, SMS/OTP, social login, or identity verification providers. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services.

Hubsek is not responsible for third-party outages, errors, or policies beyond our reasonable control.

14. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Hubsek DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that bookings will be uninterrupted, that Pros will meet your expectations, or that the Platform will be error-free.

Any advice, ratings, ETAs, or estimates shown in the app are informational only and not a guarantee of outcome.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hubsek and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or property damage arising from Pros’ services, your use of the Platform, or inability to use the Platform.

Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to Hubsek in the three (3) months before the claim or (b) USD 100, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

Because Pros are independent, disputes about the quality of work are primarily between customer and Pro; Hubsek may assist reasonably but is not the service provider unless expressly stated.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hubsek and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your bookings, your content, your Pro services (if applicable), or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

17. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion as described on our Delete Account page.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, engage in fraud or abuse, or for prolonged inactivity.

Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits, indemnity, IP, and governing law) will survive termination.

18. Changes to these Terms

Hubsek may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.

Material changes may also be notified by email or in-app notice where appropriate.

Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform.

19. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence provide otherwise.

Courts of Dubai, UAE shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have to bring claims in your local courts.

Before filing a claim, please contact support so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

20. General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app disclosures specific to a feature) are the entire agreement between you and Hubsek regarding the Platform and supersede prior conflicting terms for that subject matter.

You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or sale of assets.
